VetCentric is a home delivery veterinary pharmacy that delivers prescriptions, compounded medications, therapeutic diets and other health products to pet owners on behalf of their prescribing veterinarian.
As a client, you are, of course, free to have prescriptions dispensed by the pharmacy of your choice. Vetcentric is different than other on-line pharmacies because they guarantee the manufacturers' warranties on their products. Many popular on-line pharmacies do not guarantee their products, because they may purchase their medications from 3rd party sources, not directly from the manufacturer.
VetCentric represents and warrants that:
-
It is a licensed mail order pharmacy in the state of Maryland
-
It will keep our client list confidential and will not disclose clients names, addresses and other client-related information, except to fulfillment partners as required to fulfill orders placed, or as permitted or required by law
-
It will not contact any of our clients without our permission (other than to complete product delivery and handle client service issues associated with the delivery) with the understanding that such contacts may include telephone calls, faxes or e-mails.
How does it work?
-
You place your order online on the VetStoreRx.
-
VetCentric handles your order and asks your prescribing veterinarian for his or her approval for those products which require a prescription.
-
Your order ships.
-
VetCentric charges your credit card with the amount of your order.
VetCentric also offers additional services to make your life easier and save you money at no additional cost:
Medication related communication
E-mail: messages are sent by VetCentric on behalf of the clinic offering you valuable information and special promotions.
AutoRemind: When your prescriptions are due to be refilled and authorized refills are available, VetCentric sends an e-mail to inform you before your prescribed medication runs out.
Further reminders are sent if you fail to refill your prescription after the first e-mail reminder. Phone calls or direct mailings are sent to those without e-mail.
Usage Reminder: For monthly preventive products, VetCentric reminds you by e-mail when the medication is due to be given, based on your initial purchase date and the number of doses purchased.
Expiration Notice: VetCentric notifies you when your prescription is expiring.
VetCentric also offers AutoRefill to help you follow your veterinarian's recommendation. AutoRefill is an option that provides automatic scheduled delivery of your pet's medication to your doorstep --which means no missed treatment! Your veterinarian can activate this option when writing the prescription. You can change the settings of this option at any time, in which case confirmations are sent to you (deactivation notice, activation notice, setting change notice, etc.).
SmartSheets: Vetcentric sends useful notes about certain medications, or how to administer a medication. These are included in your order when applicable.
